Brad spent the first 10 years of his career as a civil litigation trial lawyer defending complex construction defect, products liability, medical malpractice and other civil cases. He successfully defended over 30 multi-million dollar cases to verdict in addition to handling many arbitrations and mediations.
Brad then spent the next 16 years working for tier-1 international EPC companies and major international owners where he served in a variety of roles including Senior Counsel, Director of Contracts, and Director of Claims. Brad served as lead negotiator for over $50 billion dollars in EPC contracts (EPC, EPCM, PPA, LTSA, Technology) in the Oil, Gas, Chemicals, Power Generation (nuclear, fossil), Renewable Energy (solar, wind, biofuel, electric mobility, battery storage) and Civil Infrastructure (bridge, rail, road) industries. Brad has negotiated contracts for mega-projects on behalf of both Owners and Contractors in the United States as well as in 32 foreign countries. In addition, he has provided Contract Management to over $25 billion in projects in execution where he was responsible for handling change orders as well as bringing and defending over $1 billion in claims to resolution. Brad has created template contracts in use by several major international companies and has designed and delivered training to over 4,000 people all over the world in the areas of Negotiation; Contract Management; and Claims Awareness/Avoidance.
Brad received both his undergraduate degree in business administration and his law degree from the University of Richmond.
Brad served as an Officer on Active Duty in the United States Army in 1990-1991 during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and again in 2003 during Operation Enduring Freedom.
